Six Weeks of Halloween: Day Twenty-One

One of the best things about horror is that it encompasses such a wide variety of stories – everything from post-apocryphal tales of zombies and cannibal children to the traditional Victorian ghost stories. The fourth book we’re reading as part of our Six Weeks of Halloween celebration, Jonathan Auxier’s The Night Gardener is in the latter category – a delightfully creepy tale about two orphaned siblings forced to seek employment in a house under a dark enchantment. Best of all, it’s suitable to share with kids.

Don’t forget to enter to win our giveaway! Just comment “Trick or Treat” on any Six Weeks of Halloween post, and we’ll do the rest. The winner will be announced October 20th. Good luck and happy reading!
